Discovery
Find a new favorite room without losing the human behind it.
Notice: Planned Product Information
This documentation describes functionality and policies planned for the hosted Kookey social platform, targeting release in Q1 2027. The current public website is a static presentation and waitlist.
1.Explore beyond your circle
The product concept includes finding rooms and hosts outside the accounts a person follows. The public site has no discovery feed today. Ranking inputs, recency, popularity signals, moderation filters, and any personalization have not been confirmed.
A future service should distinguish chronological listings from recommendations and explain why a room appears. We’ll share the discovery and ranking signals when they are confirmed.
2.Give hosts a path in
Clear attribution, accessible captions, and useful topic context can help someone discover both a room and the participant who made it. Tagging and topic rules, eligibility for recommendations, and how hosts can correct inaccurate information remain to be decided.
Users should not be promised a particular reach or ranking position.
3.Hide, reset, or tune discovery
No hide, reset, or personalization controls are available on this site. Before enabling discovery, kookey will document whether users can dismiss a recommendation, change topics, or reset a history, and what each control changes.
4.Product status
Discovery is a concept, not a current feature. The public website has no user posts, ranking system, recommendations, or personalization settings. Ranking signals, moderation filters, host eligibility, and user controls have not been confirmed yet. We’ll describe them once the discovery system is available.
5.Creator context and eligibility
A discovery surface should make it possible to understand who made a room and why it appears, while applying the product’s content and safety rules. kookey has not set topic tags, host eligibility, geographic availability, or the balance between recent and popular posts. No host can currently submit material for recommendation or request a ranking review through this website.
