The waitlist is simple and straightforward: entering your email places you on our launch notification list. There are no early access tiers, special invite codes, or priority queues right now.
Upon signing up, we send you an email containing our official social links so you can follow development. After that, you will receive exactly one notification when Kookey officially launches.
2.Development Schedule & Milestones
We are building Kookey carefully to ensure sub-second media synchronization, reliable privacy, and a quiet experience. Progress is organized into four main phases:

- Paste and play: Drop any YouTube URL or SoundCloud track and watch immediately. No uploading gigabyte files or waiting for transcoding queues.
- Frame-accurate lockstep: When the host pauses, jumps forward, or changes the track, everyone in the room updates in synchronized milliseconds.
- Private rooms: Generate direct invite links to share privately with friends. Strangers cannot enter your room without an invite.
- Calm room feed: Browse active public watch rooms using an intuitive 100dvh snap-scroll feed. If nobody is live, there is nothing to scroll.
- Vinyl audio visualizer: Rotating album artwork and synchronized waveforms for music sessions.
4.Privacy & Anti-Sludge Guarantees
Modern social platforms treat users as inventory for advertising exchanges. Kookey is built on privacy-first, calm social principles:
- No advertising trackers or conversion pixels: We do not log your browsing behavior or sell analytical dossiers to data brokers.
- No recommendation algorithms: We do not employ machine learning models to maximize outrage, screen addiction, or session duration.
- Transactional launch letter: Your email is used solely to send you our socials at signup and one launch email when the platform opens. We never send recurring marketing sequences.
- Self-hosting option: For organizations or friend circles who prefer complete sovereignty, a production-ready Docker Compose package is planned alongside the public launch.
