Account deletion & data export
What people should be able to expect when they leave a hosted kookey instance.
1.What exists today
This static website has no registration, account database, user-posted rooms, profiles, messages, or account controls. There is no kookey user account on this site to close and no kookey content archive here to export. A visitor’s browser and the production host may still process technical request information; the host and its log settings have not been verified. See the Privacy Notice for that unresolved production detail.
2.Download before leaving
The hosted service has not confirmed whether users will be able to download profile details, rooms, captions, comments, messages, or other records, or what file format and size limits may apply. If a download tool is offered, we’ll explain what the archive includes, how long it is available, how it is protected, and whether it contains material involving other people. Export details and steps are not available yet. We’ll share them before registration opens.
3.Request account deletion
No account deletion control or request workflow is available on this website. Before accounts open, the operator will publish the in-app route and an alternative request method for someone who cannot sign in, along with any confirmation step and expected processing time. Users should not send a password or authentication token to request closure. The current general contact email is not confirmed as monitored and is not a verified deletion-request channel.

4.What deletion means
Before account deletion is available, we’ll explain the difference between hiding a post, removing an account from public pages, deleting active records, and the later expiry of backup copies. We’ll also explain what happens to comments, replies, stories, and copies or reshares made by other people. A service cannot remove screenshots or copies already stored by other people.
5.Retention exceptions and review
Some information may need to be retained for a documented legal obligation, security investigation, dispute, or safety reason. Any exception should identify its purpose, limit access, and end when the reason no longer applies. Data categories, deletion timing, backup cycles, and exceptions have not been confirmed yet. We’ll share the schedule once the service is ready. Deletion may not remove copies already saved by others or records that must be retained by law.
6.Before accounts open
The operator will publish a working request route, identity checks that are proportionate to the request, how to download an archive, what is deleted or retained, active-system and backup timing, how shared copies are handled, and how to challenge a failed request. These details will be tested against the released product and linked to the Privacy Notice and Data Retention Schedule. Account deletion and export are not available yet; we’ll share the steps before accounts open.
