This documentation describes functionality and policies planned for the hosted Kookey social platform, targeting release in Q1 2027. The current public website is a static presentation and waitlist.
1.Who operates kookey?
kookey is a project name. The organization responsible for the hosted service has not been identified publicly yet. We’ll share its legal name, location, and contact details before the service opens.
The site lists contact@kookey.me for project inquiries, but mailbox monitoring is not verified. A monitored direct contact and response expectations have not been confirmed yet. We’ll share them before the hosted service opens.
2.Project and service are different
A software project and a hosted instance can have different owners and responsibilities. The maintainer of a source repository does not automatically operate every service built from it, and an independent operator controls the service it runs. The hosted instance’s terms and privacy notice will identify the party responsible for that service once the operator is confirmed.
3.Business information
The operator’s legal form, registration, and tax details have not been confirmed. We’ll publish the verified business information before launch.
4.Team and accountability
The hosted-service operator and its responsibilities have not been announced yet. We’ll share who is responsible for the service, privacy requests, and user safety before accounts open.
5.Contact and response scope
The site lists contact@kookey.me for project inquiries, but the project has not verified that the mailbox is monitored or assigned to a particular person. It should not be used as a promised route for legal notices, account access, safety reports, or emergencies. The operator has not confirmed its address, contact role, languages, hours, or response expectations. We’ll share those details when they are available.
