No ads, no tracking

A product principle from the project brief, stated with an operational caveat.

Notice: Planned Product Information

This documentation describes functionality and policies planned for the hosted Kookey social platform, targeting release in Q1 2027. The current public website is a static presentation and waitlist.

1.The stated direction

No advertising and no tracking are product goals, not verified claims about the hosted service. They are not yet verified as properties of a released social service. Here, “advertising” means paid or sponsored placements. The meaning of “tracking” depends on the analytics, identifiers, logs, embeds, and cross-site measurement used by the service; those details have not been confirmed.

The current site code does not include an analytics or ad integration, but the production host and its server-side logs are not confirmed. The Privacy and Cookie Notices identify those missing facts.

2.Measurement and logs

The hosted service has not confirmed whether it will use analytics, security logs, third-party embeds, or other external services. If it does, this page will identify the providers, purposes, and information involved. No claim of zero logging or zero measurement has been verified.

3.Verification and changes

A testable claim needs a documented check of the shipped app, its dependencies, browser storage, network requests, and host-side configuration. The current source review found no analytics or advertising integration in the active page imports, but a production-domain browser scan and host review have not been completed. The verification method, responsible contact, scope, and review date have not been published yet. We’ll share them after the checks are complete. If the product adds advertising or analytics, the relevant privacy information and user choices must be updated before the change is presented as active.

4.Hosted and independent instances

The planned hosted service and an independently operated instance may make different choices. Each operator controls its own deployment and must describe its actual measurement and advertising practices. kookey’s product direction does not guarantee how an independently run installation is operated.
