For hosts
Make a room feel like yours, from the first frame to the caption.
Notice: Planned Product Information
This documentation describes functionality and policies planned for the hosted Kookey social platform, targeting release in Q1 2027. The current public website is a static presentation and waitlist.
1.Give the moment context
A caption can explain the setup, the joke, a teammate’s callout, or the feeling after a close session. Captions add context to a room; profile notes are separate updates. The product is still being planned, and caption details are not confirmed yet.
Captioning, text alternatives, editing, and attribution details are still being planned. We’ll share what the released product supports when it is confirmed.
2.Build an archive and choose a reach
The concept includes a profile that can collect a host’s moments. Those controls are not available today. We’ll share details about profile posts, audience settings, follower notifications, export, and removal once the hosted service is ready.
Before sharing, consider who appears in the room and whether third-party media, music, or voice chat may be distributed in that way. See Content & Copyright and Account Deletion & Data Export for current information. More service-specific details will be shared before uploads open.
3.Creator tools
Capture tools, editing options, supported formats, file limits, analytics, monetization, and host eligibility have not been announced. We’ll describe host tools after they are tested. Creator payouts and platform integrations have not been announced.
4.A careful publishing checklist
Before a future upload, a host should check that the room is theirs to share; review music, third-party media, overlays, voices, and identifiable people; remove private information that could expose someone; add captions or context where available; and confirm the audience and resharing limits shown by the product. A host should also know how to report a rights concern or remove a post. These are practical checks for a planned workflow, not controls currently offered by this website.
5.Creator tools and status
No capture tool, editor, analytics dashboard, monetization program, or host eligibility rule has been announced. If those tools are offered, their limits and data use will be described separately from the basic ability to share a room. kookey does not promise reach, follower growth, earnings, or a particular place in discovery. The current site offers none of these host functions.
