Welcome to Kookey

What Kookey is, why we're building shared spaces around watching and listening, and our target launch in Q1 2027.

Hi, and welcome to Kookey.

Kookey is a social platform built around rooms — shared spaces where friends and communities watch and listen together. It is not a streaming service, and it is not an algorithmic feed of posts. It’s a place to hang out.

The core idea is simple: you open a room, drop a link, and everyone sees and hears the same thing at the exact same moment. Video, music, whatever. Chat sits on the side. No uploads, no compression, and no storage limits. Just shared moments.

Why Kookey?

Most modern social platforms are built to isolate people into personalized algorithmic bubbles designed to maximize screen time and ad views. You scroll alone through endless content tailored to trigger reactions.

We wanted something different:

  • Cookies are meant to be shared. That's the brand, and that's the pun. Real connection happens when you experience something together in real time.
  • No uploads, zero waiting. Drop a YouTube link or a SoundCloud playlist. You don't have to wait for server-side transcoding or upload gigabytes of files.
  • Zero ads and zero tracking. We don't sell your attention to advertisers or track your browsing habits across the web.
  • A live room feed, not doomscrolling. Instead of mindless algorithmic clips, our snap-scroll feed lets you flick through live rooms where people are hanging out right now.

Where we stand today

Kookey is actively in development with a target release in Q1 2027.

Right now, the public website is a place to get to know the concept and follow our progress. There are no accounts or room creation live on this public domain yet.
